The Site can be used in a number of different ways: for information on a motorsport event ("Event"), to enter an Event, to view entry lists and results of an Event, or for clubs to manage Events and their entries and results. When managing Events it is necessary for a motorsport club or organisation ("Organising Club") to create an account and supply Personal Identifiable Information such as name, email and mobile number. This is so the Organising Club can be contacted regarding updates to the service and so that invoices can be generated for using the service. It is important that the Organising Club keeps the information up-to-date such that contact can be made and the generated invoices are correct. This information is only available to the Organising Club and Stopastride Live Timing and it will not be shared with any third parties. Entries to events may be made via Stopastride Live Timing system if the Organising Club has opted for the service. In some cases entries may be via an external website and entry lists may be generated from these third party websites. A User may enter an Event without the need to create an account which likely will involve supplying Personal Identifiable Information for the driver, crew and/or entrant. It is important to have each individual's permission to supply their Personal Identifiable Information before doing so. It is the Organising Club that uses and maintains this information in order to manage the Event that the User has entered. In this scenario the Organising Club is the Data Controller and Stopastride Live Timing is the Data Processor. Only a small subset of this information may be made publicly available via entry lists, otherwise the information is only available to the Organising Club and Stopastride Live Timing. Stopastride Live Timing will not share this information with any third parties other than that which is publicly available. Please see the Organising Club's Privacy Policy for further details on how they manage this data. Stopastride Live Timing or an Organising Club may calculate the results using Stopastride Live Timing results service. The entry information may be obtained from another source. In this case the entry information will be a subset of the information supplied to enter the Event. The Personal Identifiable Information for results will be reduced to only include items such as name, car and class entered of which only a subset of this will be made publicly available on entry lists and results. Where Stopastride Live Timing is calculating the results Stopastride Live Timing will be deemed to be the Data Controller, otherwise the Data Processor. Stopastride Live Timing will not share this information with any third parties other than that which is publicly available. Unauthenticated Users (those without a Stopastride Live Timing account) may browse the Site to read entry lists and results. In this case no Personal Identifiable Information will be collected.
For all types of User Non-personal Identifiable Information may be collected. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information. This information may also include pseudonymous data such as IDs and GUIDs that when used along with Stopastride Live Timing's data could lead to identification of a User. This information may be sent to Google Analytics such that Stopastride Live Timing can track the usage of the Site and the performance of advertising.
Stopastride Live Timing uses cookies and/or local storage to enhance User experience. This is to provide functionality such as remembering the filter setting when browsing results. Google may use cookies to track Users and to correlate with their other services. Please see their privacy policies and adjust their settings as necessary. For entries taken via the Site in which Stopastride Live Timing is the Data Controller the Data Retention Policy is to keep all personal details of entrants no longer than one month after events after which the personal details of entrants is deleted leaving only the name of the entrant for results purposes. For the results in which Stopastride Live Timing is the Data Controller the Data Retention Policy is to keep the results publicly available indefinitely. Note that the Organising Clubs as Data Controllers for entries and/or results manage their own Data Retention Settings with default settings of indefinitely for entry lists and results via an export function on Stopastride Live Timing. We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.
Users may find content on our Site that links to the sites and services of Organising Clubs and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.
